President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly suspended Modibbo Kawu, the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC). It was gathered that Modibbo was suspended following an investigation conducted on him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), bordering on allegations of corruption.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday, presented the Certificate of Return to Senator Duoye Diri as the duly elected governor of Bayelsa State. This happened at the INEC headquarters in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
